Who Are We?
We are an online shop founded out of a hobby by a mum to 3 girls, Alex, Belle and Pip aged 11, 8 and 3. Being made redundant before Pip was even a spec on a scan gave me the chance to do something I love. We started researching and birthed a business with Pippi! So here we are some miscarriages, chicken pox, broken arms (Me), legs in plaster (Belle), oh a bus crash and a car crash later with an online shop, a proper shop in Botany Bay Chorley and a small but growing party plan in the Northwest.
What Do We Do?
Here at Pink Elly we source out products that are green on your pocket and the environment too. All our products are tested on our own children as well as family and friends! This enables us to bring you a fantastic range of value for money toys that last a long time in both their durability and play time. In playtime we mean our items are not 2 week fads or toys that children bore of easily. A classic example is the Groovy Girl range which appeals across the ages, our 3 girls aged 3, 8 and 11 all play with them and together! Take a teddy jigsaw box and watch older children make up stories for the younger ones who are equally happy just matching up the pieces.
 
In keeping it green we believe in the reduction of carbon footprints as well as organic production. You will notice a lot of our wooden items come from Germany from sustainable forests, our organic clothing basics come from The Netherlands and are hand embellished here in the UK. Our knitwear is all made in the UK using UK brands of wool so not just reducing carbon footprints but supporting the UK economy too. Being Green is not just about the latest organic and expensive fashion/fad item to come out of China, strange how they are still one of the major contributors to pollution..? Being green is about the quality of the items, how we recycle, pressurizing bigger companies to use earth friendly packaging, using local sources to reduce carbon footprints and support local economy and maybe even taking a little from our grandparent mend and make do philosophies that are so quickly disappearing now.
What we do is setting the pattern for our children to follow.
To top all this off we also upcycle old clothing into anything you want us to make (if we can do it we will!) Look to our BabyAgain range for our off the peg items made from recycled maternity wear and baby clothing.
